چکیده

AISI 430 ferritic stainless steel is a promising candidate for utilising as interconnects of solid oxide fuel cells due to its cost effectiveness and durability. Many methods applying coating on substrates have been developed in order decrease the degradation oxidation rate chromium volatile problems. Manganese-cobalt spinel exhibits high conductivity, thermal expansion compatible with steels, forms barrier inhibit migration during oxidation. Copper can be added manganese-cobalt improve electrical conductivity coating. This work investigated scale formation Mn-Co Mn-Co-Cu coated samples comparison uncoated steel. Isothermal and cyclic oxidation behavior of AISI 430 ferritic stainless steel coated with titanium

In order to improve the oxidation resistance of ferritic stainless steel, it is possible to deposit a protective coating on steel substrate. In this research through the usage of pack cementation method a coating of titanium was applied on the surface of AISI 430 stainless steel. Scanning Electron-Microscopy (SEM), Energy- Dispersive X-ray spectrometry (EDAX) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) were us...

Development of Copper-Ferrite Spinel Coating on AISI 430 Steel Used as Solid Oxide Fuel Cell

The bare and pre-oxidized AISI 430 pieces were screen printed by copper ferrite spinel coatings. Good bonding between the coating and the substrate was achieved by the reactive sintering process of the reduced coating. The energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) analysis revealed that the scale is a double layer consisting of a chromia-rich subscale and an outer Cu/Fe-rich spinel. The result...
